At Arise, Missions is not a department or something we do, but it is the essence of who we are. Our vision, with Jesus, is to reach people, restore lives, raise up, and release believers. Missions is how we do this. Whether it is Local, National or International areas that need Jesus, we do all we possibly can to be Jesus’ hands and feet, to reach the lost, the broken and those in need. Matthew 25:36 quotes, “I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me [with help and ministering care]; I was in prison, and you came to Me [ignoring personal danger].” We also run, once a year, our “Partnership” Mission Weekends. This is an opportunity to visually see the difference we have made in the areas we support throughout the year, but also partner with a faith promise to financially commit towards the next 12 months of Missions.
At this current time, Arise Church, reaches out with many initiatives to support not only the local community in Seaford and the Southern Region of Adelaide, but also National and International Missional Areas. We currently run a weekly community food pantry, sponsor children to adults in Indonesia, financially give to disaster relief and other supported countries and projects, but we also “Go” to experience and support the areas we partner with. Our heart is to “Pray, Give and Go”. So that we can, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Matt 28:19 (AMP) John Stott once quoted that, “We must be global Christians with a global vision because our God is a global God”.
